Teaching practice second phase week 5
Week 5 (12 january 2026 to 16 january 2026)
Introduction
The fifth week of my teaching practice was meaningful and helped me gain more confidence as a teacher. Throughout the week, I actively engaged in classroom teaching and school activities, which strengthened my practical teaching skills.
On 12th January 2026, it was a normal working day. I attended my allotted classes and handled the lessons as per my lesson plan. The students were cooperative and responsive during the teaching-learning process. I used interactive methods such as questioning and discussion to make the class more engaging.
On 13th January 2026, a regular school assembly was conducted. The assembly created a positive atmosphere and helped students begin the day with motivation and discipline. It was a good opportunity to observe how school activities contribute to the overall development of students. On 14th January 2026, the day went on as usual with regular classes and academic activities.
The most important day of the week was 16th January 2026. On this day, Parvathy Miss from Fathima Memorial Training College visited Government HSS koickal for observation. She observed my class and carefully evaluated my teaching performance. During the observation, I tried my best to implement effective teaching strategies, maintain classroom management, and ensure student participation. Her presence made me slightly nervous at first, but I gradually gained confidence and completed the lesson successfully.
Reflection
Week 5 was a valuable learning experience for me. The observation session helped me understand my strengths and areas where I need improvement. I realized the importance of proper planning, clear explanation, voice modulation, and classroom control. The feedback given by Parvati Miss motivated me to refine my teaching skills further.
This week enhanced my self-confidence and professional growth. Each day in the school environment is shaping me into a better and more responsible teacher. I look forward to improving myself continuously in the coming weeks of my teaching practice.
